Stir to Action is leaving the marquee in a field and taking its annual festival north for two days of panels, workshops, local DJs, and food!
The 5th Annual Playground for the New Economy Festival will be held this year at Stretford Public Hall in Manchester on 19-20 May. Tickets are just £75 for the full 2 day festival. Day tickets are also available.
Join practitioners and figures from the new economy and prepare to be challenged and inspired by another unique and diverse line-up of contributors, all offering provocative ideas about, and innovative alternatives to, the current political and economic landscape.
It’s the first time the festival will be held in a major city, and we can think of no better place than the renowned community-owned Stretford Public Hall – a perfect fit for the event dedicated to democratic ownership and a new economy. After the sessions finish, auxiliary events will be held at nearby locations, and sure to keep the festival vibe going into the evening hours.
Notably, the evening before the festival opens, Stir to Action will host its STIR Magazine 10th Anniversary lecture at the Hall. More details will be announced soon.
New for this year, pastries and a light lunch is included with your ticket. And for parents, a creche will be provided for Saturday (booking essential via the festival website).
Bursary tickets will be made available so check the website for details on how to apply, or follow @stirtoaction on Twitter and Instagram for updates.
The full 2023 Festival Programme will be announced on the festival website soon. Explore and book tickets at www.stirtoaction.com/festival
