We’re thrilled to announce we’ve got the go-ahead from the local authority to run our festival with covid safety measures in place. Since the announcement that restrictions would be extended, we’ve been working hard to ensure your safety and that of our staff and crew at the festival.
We have implemented covid-safety protocol for festival attendees and workers that will enable us all to have an amazing festival whilst following government guidelines and keeping one another safe.
What to expect
We’ve all been living within restrictions together over the past year, none of the measures we’ve put in place will be new to you. So we ask that you be respectful of everyone’s safety and comfort, and enjoy yourselves!
We’re limiting the number of tickets so we can operate at a reduced capacity to provide ample room for physical distancing. Our festival is an outdoor event, with sessions taking place under cover of marquee and in the barn, so there will be plenty of room and ventilation. We’ll set up chairs, tables, and other seating so you can keep to small groups. Plenty of hand hygiene stations will be dotted around the site, and clear notices will be posted in areas where masks must be worn.
Pre-emptive measures to minimise risk
All crew and staff will be tested regularly before and during the event. We kindly ask attendees to take a lateral flow test within 24 hours of arriving. Tests will also be available on the door and clean space to do testing.
We’ll ask people living in covid hotspots to follow current government guidance around limiting travel in and out of their area. People who’ve tested positive or been in contact with someone who’s tested positive in the 2 weeks prior, or is currently feeling unwell, will be asked not to travel and will not be admitted to the event.
The health, safety and wellbeing of our guests are our priority. For full details, please see our Festival COVID Management Plan, Festival COVID Risk Assessment, and Selgars Mill COVID Risk Assessment.
We can’t wait to welcome you all to the Selgars Mill campus for the first big event since we took it on in March last year. If you have any questions or need further information on our covid-safety plan, email events@stirtoaction.com. See you there!
