What are community assets? How are they transforming local economies? And how can you apply this approach to your own city, town, or neighbourhood? As a local economic response to the alarming loss of vital spaces and services, this sector has seen explosive growth in terms of communities taking on local assets, as well as a significant rise in local residents investing their savings through community shares.

In this introduction, we'll explore the concept of community assets and examine how residents have taken control of important buildings, land, and services to benefit their communities. We'll also provide a broad understanding of each aspect of the process, exploring the stages of community engagement, developing a business plan, choosing legal structures, raising investment, and how your asset can drive positive impact through creating more space, services, and employment in your community.

This session also runs on 16 April - book here.

We offer sessions on a sliding scale. Please select the 'organisation' rate if you are funded by an organisation to attend this session.
